Remote Learning January 6th-15th

Hello 1st Grade Families!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas Break. Here is the information that you and your first grader will need to successfully complete our eight days of remote learning.

First, here is a copy of the lesson plans I have sent home in their learning packets. I have chosen to provide you with all the plans so you can plan accordingly with your first grader. Each day is specific, and your child should be able to complete each lesson.

I have included videos for our Reading story, each Math Lesson and daily Phonemic Awareness. (I will continuously add in all of next week’s Phonemic Awareness). THINKCentral can be used to read along in Science, each student received a card with their THINKCentral login. We will have a daily Google Meets Call at 9:45 for Calendar and attendance. The link to this is in the Remote Learning Plans shared above. If your child cannot make the meeting that day please let me know.

Second, In the hopes of making this as simple as possible for you and your families I do not plan to do any ‘live’ teaching, except for calendar. Instead, I have chosen to prerecord lessons to be viewed at any time. I will have Office Hours each day from 12:30-2:00 and I believe we can use the same google meet link. I will be available by email each day from 7:45-3:15 if there are any questions.

Lastly the work that your students complete will be brought back to school on the 19th. I will check in all work. I will continuously tell the class to keep their work in their envelopes and the workbooks in a safe place.

I hope this covers all or at least most of your questions about the next two weeks.
