What a fantastic week in first grade! We continued to practice for our Washing of the Feet Prayer Service. We began our new story Arbor Day Square in reading. We tested on chapter 9 in math and began chapter 10!

This week spelling words follow the <al> spelling pattern.
This week we will continue to read Arbor Day Square and discuss prairie life and how people lived in the past.
We will practice identifying and using adjectives in a sentence.
In writing we will begin our Narrative Story Unit.
We will continue with chapter 10 where we will use graphs to solve problems.
We will finish up Unit 6 Our Earth, Our Resources.
This week we will be focusing on The Washing of the Feet Prayer Service. We will practice our speaking part, the songs that will be sung, and where our places will be.
