Week of November 11-15

What an amazing week in first grade! We began our new story, Far From Home where we learned about China and the differences a school can have. We will continue reading and discussing the story and identifying how Bryan feels throughout his new transition.

Our spelling list will follow the <a_e> pattern this coming week.

In Language Arts we will begin our next story, Going To School. In writing we will begin our second informative writing, each student will write a How To booklets.

In Math we will complete Chapter 4; Subtraction Strategies. We will review all of the subtraction strategies that we have learned and apply them to subtraction sentences.

In Science we will closing up Chapter 2 where we discussed how to sort materials based on human-made, natural made or both. We became scientist and engineers when we created paper airplanes that we flew through out room!

In Religion we will read and discuss the Church. We will discuss how members of the Church serve others.

God is GOOD, ALL THE TIME!
