Wednesday October 28th: Crazy Hat with Gym uniforms. Special: Gym.
Thursday October 29th: Pajama Day (remember to wear clean jammies to school with appropriate garments underneath). Special: Spanish
Friday October 30th: Halloween Costume Day. Please read about the costume rules on the school website. Our class will be watching a movie in the afternoon so please send a sweet treat for your child to enjoy as we watch. I’m thinking of showing an Abbott and Costello movie to the kids if I can find one. Special: TLC

Religion: This week we will begin our 2nd steps program as we look for ways our friends are not feeling well or just not having a great day. We will also learn about Pentecost and the Apostles visit from the Holy Spirit.
Reading: We will start a new story from our Reading series entitled “The Moon Seems to Change.” The students will learn about the different phases of the moon. We will talk about these terms from the story: crescent, waxing, waning and phases. The story can be found by using the Pearson Link located on the STREAM page of GOOGLE CLASSROOM.
Phonics: The students will work with digraphs at the beginning, middle and end of words, syllables, consonant blends and R CONTROLLED vowels. We will also review grammar concepts from Grammar Simple Solutions as we work on lessons 37 – 40 this week. We will take Grammar Simple Solution Quiz 10 on Friday.
Spelling: Our Spelling words this week will centered around Halloween. These words are ghost, cat, costume, mummy, vampire, skeleton, pumpkin, candy corn, Halloween, scary, haunted, witch, goblin, trick, treat. Our spelling test will be on this Friday.
Math: The students will be taking the Chapter 2 test on Tuesday. We will begin the next chapter about Multiplication later in the week.
Science: This week we return to Science. Our next chapter is about the engineering process.
