We were observing daffodils! Just like scientists, we drew what we saw!
February left us with so much snow! Our JKers sure do enjoy the great winter time activities, the outdoor AND the indoor fun! Our week was filled with word work and letter printing practice. Our Lenten journey is off to a good start. Being aware of others and caring for one another. God asks one thing of us…Love One Another.
Religion: The butterfly in our hallway outside our classroom is becoming colorful. Each time we catch a student doing a kind deed, they put a piece of tissue paper on the butterfly. Ask your child about the kind deeds he or she is doing for classmates. We hope you are seeing kindness at home too! We began to explore the Stations of the Cross. This a sad story with a very happy ending! We talked about all Jesus did for us and the people who helped along the way! We will be praying the Stations each Friday during Lent.
Literacy: We will look at some sight, or POPcorn words that show up in our reading often. Help your child see these words in your read alouds!
Math: Number work using base ten blocks, ten frames and good old fashioned counting will continue!
**Don’t forget the family recipe! If you need a form, please email so we can get that to you!
Have a great weekend! The weather looks great!
