In case you missed it, our Cardinal College speaker was great! You received a card today with Jamie Strauss’ information to follow her and read her blogs! So helpful!
We had a great week, we are in full JK swing! We ended our week after filling our classroom bucket of kind deeds….by having some yummy hot chocolate! Who knew kindness could taste so good!
Religion: We will begin looking at our Catholic School. Our faith guides us and helps us to follow the light of Jesus. We will celebrate this and share His love with others.
Literacy: We will begin to use our Jolly Phonics skills to read consonant, vowel, consonant (CVC) words. For example, pet, cot, man. Ask your child to help you write, like a grocery list. Taking the words apart or saying these words slowly, will help your child hear the sounds and will help you write this list. Seeing you use writing daily, helps your child see the connection between the words we read and the words we write.
Math: We are working on recognizing and writing numbers in the twenties. Ask your child to count items, and write the number to show how many.
Science/Social Studies: As winter takes hold, we will look at snow and we will watch the weather! We are using many good books to learn about hibernation. Ask your child what animals hibernate!
Have a great weekend!
