**Mark your calendars! Junior Kindergarten will be singing some special Christmas songs at Advent Mass on December 20th at 9:30! Come pray with us and enjoy our songs that tell about our Christmas joy!
We are preparing for our classroom feast. Thank you to all who donated items to our class for this treat.
We plan on having this feast on Tuesday November 26 for our snack time. This is a half day of school FOR ALL STUDENTS! Conferences begin at 12:30, check to be sure what time you are scheduled to meet with me. Be sure to be on time as others are waiting! If we need more time to discuss your child, we can schedule another meeting time the following week. I look forward to talking about all the growth we have seen in our Junior Kindergartners!!
Next week is a short week, but we will pack in active, fun learning!
Religion: Gratitude can be shown many ways. Our focus this month has helped each child see that how we treat each other is a way of saying, “Thank you, God!
Literacy: Our read alouds will look at Thanksgiving and help us to make connections to the story. We will review the letters we have learned through Jolly Phonics. One of the best predictors of early reading success is HEARING sounds. Practice rhyming words with your child. Word play is just fun too!
Math: Counting, patterning and number sense has been our focus. These basic skills are essential for future math success!
On Monday we will have a Thanksgiving prayer service. Please have your child bring in a non- perishable food item to add to our St. Cletus Food Pantry. When we feed the hungry we are doing God’s work! When we do for the least of our neighbors we are doing for God. He will bless us with much grace! Thank you in advance!
Look for a note on Monday December 2 regarding our Advent plans!
Have wonderful Thanksgiving with your families! We are so grateful for each of you! We are lucky to have such wonderful families, and wonderful students!
God bless you!
The annual St. Cletus Book Fair begins the night of conferences. Please take a look and see if you can buy a book for your child for Christmas! The 4 gift rule is such a nice guide for parents as to what children REALLY need!
