Happy New Year! May 2020 bring health and happiness to all!
Our class made a resolution or a promise to do all things with LOVE! We hope you see this at home too.
We all got right back into our classroom routines after our Christmas break. Lots of learning and fun was had by all!
Does your child have chores at home? By the age of 5 most children can participate in family life by doing daily/weekly chores! Your child CAN be responsible for making his or her bed, cleaning up toys, helping with laundry, dinner prep and clean up. By starting early, your child will feel like he or she can accomplish many new tasks! Building confidence is a life long skill! Help your child begin to develop this NOW!
Religion: Jesus is our King! God sent Jesus to show us the way. We need to be the light for others!
Literacy: We will begin using “wordless” books. These are picture books without words. We will begin “reading” these books using the pictures to help us tell the story. We have finished Jolly Phonics. We will look at beginning, middle and ending sounds of words as well as trying to figure out words using these Jolly Phonics skills!
Math: We will work on teen numbers. recognizing these numbers as well as counting practice. We worked on colors in a Journal this week, next week we will finish this book and look at things that are a specific shape.
