Happy Mother’s Day to all of our St. Cletus moms and mom-figures! I hope you enjoy your weekend and that your kids do something nice for you. Speaking of mothers, we will be celebrating our May Crowning in church this Monday at 9:30 a.m. Seventh graders will watch it live-streamed from their classrooms. While it may not be the same as in previous years, we should all be grateful that this tradition will be carried on, albeit in a different manner.
Seventh graders have been working on a Fairy Tale narrative. We are using a differentiated learning approach in that students are illustrating their stories. We are also just starting Unit 13 in our Writer’s Choice textbooks, and it focuses on prepositions, conjunctions, and interjections.
Eighth graders have been reflecting on their experiences as St. Cletus students by working on memoirs. This has served as a precursor to writing graduation speeches that may potentially be read at the mass.
Please be sure to be checking Classroom and Powerschool for any missing assignments.
