Hello! We’ve made it through our first full week. It went well. Each student should be proud of themselves.

8A Math: We have finished Chapter 1 Equations in One Variable and we will have our first test on Tuesday. GoMath! books (online or hard cover) are available if your student needs to review any pre-algebra.

8B Math: We’ve worked through 1.1 in GoMath! and took a quiz on Friday. The quiz included square roots, cube roots, converting fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.

7th Math: We are SO very blessed to have many new students in our class. We have performed an extensive review of sixth grade GoMath! curriculum. We now begin the Accelerated GoMath curriculum. We will be completing one unit a day.

Please advise students who are struggling with math homework–just ask for help the next day. Most math homework will be graded for participation points only. If it is to be collected for full grading the students will be aware of that change. I want all students to feel success in growth of learning.

In religion, we focused our attention on praying the rosary for refugees. Each mystery had a real-life modern day refugee story that can be compared to some of the current images we have seen in Afghanistan. Students have also begun journaling In Google Classroom the daily Gospel reflection.

Reminder: If at all possible, please arrive to school by 7:50am on Tuesday for the all school mass. All are welcome if you are available!
