    • $1 dress down – wear pink or red
    • 105 – Valentine’s day party (9:30 am – 10:30 am)
    • 98A & 98B – Valentine’s Day party from 2 pm till 3 pm
  • Monday, February 18 – NO SCHOOL

This week in Preschool we learned all about Nursery Rhymes. Throughout the week we read various nursery rhymes and practiced our rhyming words. Some of our favorite nursery rhymes are Humpty Dumpty, Hickory Dickory Dock, Hey Diddle Diddle, Little Miss Muffet, and Jack be Nimble. We also learned the letter “P” and some of our P words include: popcorn, pail, pig, pie, pan, penguin, pizza, pillow, and pancakes.

Centers included:

  • P is for Piano & Parrot
  • Roll and Cover math game
  • Nursery rhyme crafts (some include: humpty dumpty, jack be nimble, hickory dickory dock)
  • Nursery rhyme sequencing
    • Practiced putting things in order
  • Nursery rhyme patterns
  • Nursery rhyme connect the dots
  • Name writing
  • Little Miss Muffet early reader
  • Handwriting journals
  • Favorite nursery rhyme activity

Next week we will focus on Valentine’s Day. Throughout the week we will read various Valentine’s books and make lots of crafts. The children will be able to identify and describe some of the symbols associated with Valentine’s Day in the USA. We also complete a letter review of letters “A-P.”
