In Religion, we have been spending time on our Second Step program, focusing on fairness and how to interact with one another. We have also made Thanksgiving cards for parishioners. So look for them in the Canticle.
We read a great story called “I Wanna Iguana” about a little boy who tries to convince his mother that he should have an iguana. The story was written as an exchange of letters between the boy and his mom. Next week, we will publish our very own persuasive letters asking for a pet. Look for them during conferences. During grammar, we have learned how to divide the complete subject from the complete predicate, in addition to all the rest we know from our Shurley English program.
Chapter 4 of Math will be completed next week, with the test the week of the 25th. Please continue to practice basic math facts with your child, as it really does help with 2- and 3- digit addition.
We have finished our Unit on Animals in Science. Our test will be next Wednesday, 11/20. We will also be working on an animal research project during this time.
