I hope you are all doing well. It’s been so wonderful to be in school for the last month! While things are a little different I do love being in the classroom every day and teaching your students in person! Here is what’s coming up this next week in Literature and Religion:
7th Grade Literature:
Monday: We will be reviewing our study guide for their short story test.
Tuesday: We will play a game with the study guide to help the students study in class.
Wednesday: We will be working on our MyPath lessons.
Thursday: Students will complete their short story test.
Coming up: Our next unit will be the novel My Brother Sam is Dead which we will begin reading on Monday, October 28.
7th Grade Religion
Monday: We will learn about the life of St. Matthew and work on the Family Crest project (this is being assigned today)
Tuesday: We will learn about the life of St. Lorenzo Ruiz and work on the Family Crest project
Wednesday: We will learn about the life of St. Padre Pio, attend mass virtually, discuss the homily, and work on the Family Crest project, due tomorrow.
Thursday: Family Crest is due. We will learn about the life of St. John Neuman, work on our Sunday connection to this week’s Sunday Gospel, and then students will work on their study guide for chapter 2.
Coming up: The unit 1, chapter 2 test will be on Wednesday September 30.
8th Grade Literature
Monday: We will listen to the radio play of “Sorry, Wrong Number”.
Tuesday: We will read “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”
Wednesday: The student will complete their MyPath exercise.
Thursday: We will watch Ichabod Crane and do a Venn diagram to find the similarities and differences between the short film and the story they read.
Coming up: Gothic and Horror test will be on Thursday, October 8.
Just a reminder that next Friday, September 25 is a Teacher In-Service day so there is no school for your students.
