10/29: News From 5th

Organized Chaos! That would be the term for this week.

Today we had our Halloween Party. Our Buddies from PreSchool came to visit us. They sang us a song, and we helped them make a pumpkin craft. We were able to walk around the Haunted Car Yard even though the weather was not cooperating. This week we also wrapped up our units in Social Studies, Science, and Religion.

Social Studies – We will be starting Chapter 3 – Life in the Eastern Hemisphere between 1300-1500.

Science – After finishing up cells and body systems, we will be starting the Design Process to gear up for our Invention Convention. Our Digestion Story – final copy is Due Thursday, Nov. 4th.

Grammar – DARE class is coming to an end. We are wrapping up by all the students writing a DARE Essay about things they have learned during their time with Officer Falls. DARE Essays are Due Nov. 15th

Reading – We are continuing to read The Sign of the Beaver during Reading. Book Reports are Due Nov. 16th.

Religion – We finished up our chapter on Baptism and did a few Dia de los Muertos activities this week. We will start a new Chapter about the Holy Spirit next week.
