Full Day Preschool February 4, 2022

Looking Back…
*Letter “Pp” was full of pink and purple and more penguins.  New Playdoh activities found us forming letters in our centers.  We will have to continue this letter, combined with “Qq” due to our snow days!  Hope everyone had lots of fun in the snow this past week.
*Catholic Schools Week kept us busy making Valentines for Veterans and collecting soup for the Food Pantry.  We celebrated students and teachers on Friday with cookies from the FSA.  Thanks, FSA, for all the wonderful things you do for us.  We would also like to thank the generous friends who treated us all to pizza on Tuesday.  What a perfect treat for this week’s letter 🙂 There are so many wonderful people at St. Cletus who show us what kindness and giving are all about!
*Our calendar is now on February and we will discover our new pattern soon.  So many of the kiddos in Room 99 are now counting to 20 and we are still enjoying the Singing Walrus in our daily counting adventures.

Reminders…
*Thanks to all who offered to donate supplies for our Valentine’s Day Party on Sign Up Genius.  Please send them no later than Thursday, February 10th so that we can make sure we are prepared for the big day.  A great big thanks to Mrs. Barba, our class representative, for organizing this event for us!
*Please dress for the weather as we still try each day to go outdoors(weather permitting).
*Playdoh donations are still needed and greatly appreciated.  This is one of our favorite fine motor activities and we use it in our Math and Literacy Centers several times a week.  Thank you:)

Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
*What are the four seasons?  Which is your favorite and why?
*Talk about ways to be kind to our classmates.
*We have been spending a lot of time playing in the Gym in the Parish Center.  What do you like about our new indoor recess.
*What is your letter(the first letter in your name)?  What other things or friends begin with that letter?  Practice writing it at home and name each letter.  We do this every morning when we arrive at school.
