Half-day Preschool-December 10, 2022

Looking Back…
*The past two weeks have been very busy preparing for Christmas!  We have been working on surprise projects, shopping at the Holiday Shop(Thanks, Buddies for your help), decorating our classroom and working in lots of Christmas themed centers.  On Tuesday, we had a visit from St. Nick and his elves!  Thanks for the yummy candy canes.
*Learning about Advent and the Story of Christmas have been our focus.  We lit our second purple candle.  Our wreaths look beautiful outside our classroom!  We set up our classroom Nativity Set and learned all about Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus.  We also attended Mass twice this week with our Buddies.
*The preschool kiddos learned they are God’s Greatest Gifts.  It was fun to decorate gifts, put ourselves(photos) inside the boxes and attach a shiny bow.
*Our letter “Kk” was familiar to us as it shares a Jolly Phonics song with “Cc” and we already knew its sound.  We were clicking castanets and flying kites all week long!  Our “Kicking K’s” were fun to create and many of us knew all about kicking the soccer ball!
*Each day we have been practicing our songs for the Christmas show.  Please be sure to mark your calendar for Tuesday, December 20th-9:30 to see our performance in the Parish Center.  Doors will open at 9:15.  Please wear Christmas attire.  All students are welcome, regardless of which days class is attended.
*Great job, Bobby, for winning our PBIS drawing of the week.  You are a kind friend and a great classroom helper!
