Half Day Preschool End of September

Dear Parents,

We have been very busy with our letters, colors and numbers!  We focused on E and F, the color blue and green, and counting with patterning.   Our focus on fish this week helped us with sorting and patterning.

We had lots of fun with our 5th grade buddies and are very thankful for the nice weather and being outside. They colored some nice pictures for their buddy in our class – you should see the picture in your child’s folder.  Please look through the papers and empty folders each night.

We focused on our hands and our voice in religion!  We continue to practice the sign of the cross and look forward to starting our church experience.   While we will start going to the 8am Mass on Tuesdays starting on October 5th, we will also have all school masses coming up on some Mondays in the future to attend as well.   We know that we are loved by God and he holds the whole world in his hands ( a song we sing )

As the fall weather brings change to nature, half day will be exploring the colors and scents of fall.

Next week we will move to the color purple and the letter G.  We will focus on making 10 and counting.  We will welcome Mrs. Fary to be working with our class and will miss Mrs. Patty while she works with Mrs. Mullen’s class.  We are fortunate to have such wonderful aides that can share their talents and time.  We are also learning two fall songs that we hope to know by heart by Halloween.  Speaking of Halloween, all students may wear their costumes on Friday, October 29th!   More details to follow…..      And finally, remember that It’s a Great Day to be a Cardinal!
