Looking Back…
*Love was in the air this week! We celebrated Valentine’s Day all week, discussing loving each other as God loves us. We will continue this theme into next week-focusing on kindness! Tuesday was our class party and it was AWESOME! Thank you to all of the families for the valentine cards and treats and the party donations. Your kindness and generosity are so appreciated. A special thank you to Mrs. Coklas and Mrs. Dempsey for being at our party to help. We couldn’t have done it without you:)
*Our letter of the week was “Qq'” and we made queens! We learned that the letter “u” is always written after the letter “q” and they are besties that are always together. Also, we have been busy rhyming each and every day. It is fun to make silly rhymes, even during playtime.
*During Math centers, we continue to count on our ten frames, sort by colors and create patterns. This week, we counted and sorted fruit loops that were shaped like hearts. We also sorted many types of hearts by two attributes-color and size.
*We ended our week with a Prayer Service for the victims of the earthquake in Turkey. We wore red and white and donated money. We have been learning that when we pray, we are talking to God.
