Half Day Preschool-January 13, 2022

Looking Back…
*Our week was all about celebrating our new season, Winter!  We read lots of books about winter and went out for our first winter recess.  We wanted to find snow…but no luck!  It was still lots of fun walking around our school campus finding all of the tricky teen numbers on our school doors.  We also visited the manger by our Church and retold the story of Jesus’ birthday.
*Our letter of the week was “Mm” and making a moose was our alphabet craftivity.  We sang all about the many meals our Moms make us in our Jolly Phonics song…mmmmm!  Counting snowballs was yummy because they were actually mini marshmallows.  Every week we count different objects in our ten frames and this week was especially sweet!
*We continued to welcome in the new year with our Happy New Year handprints.  We discussed all the great things our hands will do in the new year.
Our Religion lesson was all about our sense of touch.  All of us are thankful that God gave us our hands!  We used our hands to find soft and hard objects in our classroom.
*Our first birthday celebration of the new year was Finley’s 4th birthday.  Thanks to Finn and his family for the delicious cupcakes.
*The first PBIS winner of 2023 was our friend, Finley!  Our friend Finley is such a kind friend.
