Half Day Preschool-January 27, 2023

Looking Back…
*This week was so exciting as we prepared for Catholic School’s Week and learned all about the Lunar New Year!  We hope to see all the Preschool families on Sunday at our Open House.  All of our hard work is displayed in our classroom and hall and we can’t wait for you to see it.
*Our Early Childhood Lunar New Year parade, consisting of four classes, was a huge success to end our week.  Our dragon puppets were part of our march throughout the entire school.  It was so much fun.  When we returned, we tasted fortune cookies-100% thumbs up!  Our read alouds this week were all about the Lunar New Year celebration.  Be sure to look for your special red envelope surprise today in your folder.  The year of the rabbit will bring us all good fortune.  However, the kids told me they are all excited for 2024 to celebrate the year of the dragon!
*Our letter of the week was “Oo” and of course….we counted Cheerios on our ten frames.  We love when our ten frame counting is a food activity!  Next week we will be making an octopus during our letter review week and will continue to sing about switching the lights on and off during Jolly Phonics!
*Congratulations to this week’s PBIS winner, Abby!  Abby continues to be a very helpful and kind friend every day!
