Happy New Year to all of the Preschool Kiddos and Families. It was great to be back together this week 🙂 Everyone was so happy to see each other!
Looking Back…
*This first week of 2023 was short, but sweet! We celebrated the New Year by reading Squirrel’s New Year’s Resolution. We talked about what resolutions are in very simple terms. Our first class resolution is: Learning about different cultures and how to say hello in different languages. We are focusing on five ways this week…English, Spanish, Japanese, French and Greek. It was amazing how quickly we learned so many ways to say hello!
*Our Happy New Year hats were a hit! Discussions of how we celebrated both Christmas and New Years were lots of fun. We talked about many things we will learn this year as well as reviewed many things we learned in 2022. It was super exciting to ring in the new year together.
*Our calendar time introduced a new pattern(AABB), an upcoming birthday(Finley) and a new month. Good times are ahead in the month of January. Learning about the Epiphany led us to a great story, Hooray for Three Kings’ Day. We discussed the meaning of the Three Kings and their gifts and explored the ways other countries celebrate this holiday.
