Half Day Preschool-May 26, 2023

Looking Back…
*The last two weeks have been all about dinosaurs and living things.  We have read lots of books about dinosaurs, both fact and fiction, and about all of God’s creatures.  We have counted dinosaurs and built them homes!  On our walks, we have looked for things that are living and discussed why they are living things.   Needless to say, it’s been a Super Science month for us.
*The ABC countdown is coming to an end.  Wearing pajamas, reading outdoors, hat day and many more activities have been a lot of fun to celebrate.   We are looking forward to the last seven days of the countdown.  Each day, we have done a Jolly Phonics countdown as well!
*As hard as it is to believe…we have finished our LAST LETTER.  Our zebras are hanging proudly in our classroom as we review the entire alphabet.  Letter formation has been a huge part of the past two weeks.  We are now writing many letters on our own after many months of tracing practice.  Please continue to practice at home during the summer.  There are many creative ways to practice letter formation.  Be on the lookout for some fun ideas that I will be sending home the last week of school.
*Thank you to “Teacher for a Day” auction winners.  Four St. Cletus students joined us as our teachers this past week.
It was hard to tell who enjoyed it the most…the students, the teachers for the day or the everyday teacher:)  Our teachers did an amazing job reading stories, completing art projects, monitoring recess, and singing and dancing with us.  What a great experience for all and a job well done!  Thank you to all of the Preschool families that helped to make our Cardinalpalooza such a huge success!
*Our May birthdays have been celebrated!  Thanks to Alex and Luca for the yummy birthday treats.  We have really enjoyed celebrating birthdays throughout the year as a preschool family.  Thank you, God, for birthdays:)
