Half-day Preschool-November 11, 2022

Looking Back…
*Letter “Ii” was our focus this week.  We learned about iguanas and made our own little green creature!  Inky the Mouse helped us to learn the “Ii” sound!  We made Inky whiskers to practice this letter and its sound.
*Spiders were everywhere this week.  We learned many facts about spiders using our  informational text.  We are beginning to learn to distinguish between fiction and non-fiction.  Be sure to ask your child what they learned about spiders this week!
*Counting spiders and sorting spiders kept us busy in our math centers.  We used our extra large ten-frame and dice to count them.  Continuing our AB pattern during calendar has now carried over into our morning table time activities.  Snap cubes and block creations were all about the AB pattern.
*We thanked God for our eyes this week and went exploring with our sense of sight.  This led to discussions of many things we are thankful for in our world.
We will continue to discuss gratitude for the next two weeks leading up to Thanksgiving.
*We ended our week making cards for the Veterans, wearing our red, white and blue and meeting with our Buddies in the Library.  What a great week we had:)
*Congratulations to our PBIS winner, Mateo, for being a great friend!
