*Fall was still our focus this week! We learned all about leaves, read books about leaves changing color and took a leaf walk around our school campus. We counted fancy leaves in our centers and painted beautiful watercolor leaves. Finally, we carved our pumpkin. Our five senses helped us to learn all about our classroom pumpkin. Fall learning fun will continue for the rest of the month.
*We reviewed the five letters we learned since we began school. All the preschool kiddos were able to remember ALL five Jolly Phonics songs! Lots of ants, bats, castanets, drums and eggs were heard each day. The best part of reviewing the letters was hunting for them in the courtyard!
*Numbers 0-5 kept us busy this week. We hid numbers behind our name and played hide and seek numbers. Of course, we counted leaves and acorns in our math centers this week. Numbers are everywhere and we search for them every single day, especially on our walks!
*Celebrating our first birthday was really special. Happy Birthday to our friend, Mateo. Thanks for the yummy fall cupcakes and cookies.
*Congratulations to our PBIS Winner of the Week-Way to go, Teddy 🙂
