Looking Back…
*Our week was all about the letter Cc. The caterpillars we made are hanging out in our classroom. We learned about how they will become beautiful butterflies. Clicking castanets was lots of fun with our new Jolly Phonics song. Aa and Bb were also reviewed every day.
*Each day, we continue to find our names in the pocket chart. This week, we counted the letters in our names and identified the letters in all of our names.
As the year goes on, we will begin to trace and then print our names.
*Our morning calendar/circle time is an exciting time each day. This week we continued to practice our counting and shape recognition. Singing and dancing, as we learn, have become a favorite part of the day.
*Yellow was our color of the week. We looked all around our classroom, the school and outdoors for this bright and happy color. Thursday we dressed in yellow and sang the Yellow Song!
*This week we looked in a mirror to see our smiles. God gave us all beautiful smiles! We discussed many things that make us smile 🙂 Our classroom photos show all of our unique smiles that have been captured since school started.
*Fall is here and we celebrated the first day of Fall with a leaf walk. Red, yellow and orange leaves were already on display all over our campus. We are looking forward to a leaf hunt in the upcoming weeks. Outdoor learning is a big part of each day and we are very lucky to have such a beautiful campus that permits us to learn outdoors.
*Congratulations to Luca-our first PBIS winner of the week. PBIS is a school-wide system to promote positive behavior choices. Be sure to read the letter, sent home Wednesday, that explains this program.
