02/09 Update

Greetings Parents,

What a busy week coming up both here at school and outside of it!  There are quite a few things to celebrate, while at the same time, the journey of Lent begins.  I hope that all of our students, but especially our Confirmation candidates, use the season of Lent as a way to grow in grace as they pray, fast, and give alms.

Both grade levels have been completing activities in Social Studies and Literature to honor Black History Month, and both grade levels are covering pronouns in grammar.  Eighth Grade is in the process of finishing the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell, and we will begin preparing to present the Living Stations of the Cross for the school on February 29th.

Please be sure that Eighth Graders have submitted their Red Booklets and Letters to Fr. Elmer.  Confirmation will be here before we know it.  Also, please be sure to submit your final Springfield Field Trip payment if you have not done so.

Lastly, please make sure that your son or daughter has his or her chromebook fully charged each night at home.  The number of students who have been asking to charge their chromebooks, and worse asking to borrow a charger, is really becoming excessive.  Students know that their chromebooks are used – for learning purposes – everyday.
