05/19 Update

Greetings,

I’m sure that many of you parents, like me, have memories of the last weeks of the school year coinciding with all of those Bulls Championships many years ago.  Back then, and even today, the final minutes of an NBA playoff game can be incredibly tense and also thrilling.  The final minutes are what is magnified, but it is every mistake and every positive feat from earlier in the game that leads up to that point.  The same can be said for students as we near the end of Trimester 3 and the year.  While it’s easy to start the shutdown of thinking as summer vacation approaches, what’s done during these final weeks can ultimately determine how successful this school year has been.  If students are hoping to finish the year positively, there is still much to do.  Those who are behind still have time to turn things around.  I’m confident that they will do exactly that!

Please be sure that you are checking Powerschool to see if there are any missing assignments.  I will still accept work even if it is late.  I can update grades much sooner when work is turned in on time.  Things get very busy with graduation preparation and events.  It is very much appreciated when work is submitted when it is due.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
