Greetings & Happy Spirit Day To All,
This past week in Language Arts, all three grade levels completed Unit 8 in their grammar textbooks and completed their open book tests. The best preparation for the open book test is for students to complete the grammar exercises in their notebooks when assigned and then be fully present as we correct and review them together in class. A neat and thorough notebook is the key to success.
In Social Studies, Sixth Grade has been covering the neolithic and paleothic ages. Seventh Grade has been learning about the Mayans, the Aztecs, and the Incas. In addition to that, I hope parents have been able to view the History Fair information that I sent home earlier this week. Lastly, Eighth Grade is in the process of learning about the heated political climate that existed in Pre-Civil War America. We’ve been making connections between that era and the present.
I’m looking forward to getting those beautiful mums that are delivered to St. Cletus around this time every year. A special thanks goes out to those families who have worked so hard on that fundraising project for Eighth Grade.
Pray as though everything depended on God. Work as though everything depended on you.
