October 2021

Greetings,

Things have been so busy over the course of the last few weeks, that I haven’t had many opportunities to provide updates.

Both seventh and eighth grade are in the middle of reading classic horror stories as we approach Halloween.  These include the “Legend of Sleepy Hollow” and “The Devil and Tom Walker” by Washington Irving, “The Monkey’s Paw” by W.W. Jacobs, and poems and short stories by Edgar Allen Poe.  Both grade levels are covering nouns in language arts.

Eighth grade will be presenting the Living Rosary on Monday October 25th in church.  I’m glad to see this service will be coming back this year.

Remember, seventh graders will need their War Horse novels in the next few weeks.  The goal is to begin during the first week of November.

Have an enjoyable, and more importantly, safe Halloween!
