6th Grade News 10.05

We have been loving the Science Lab with Mrs. Ludden!   Once a week, we get a treat of Science activity.  Students have been learning about the the layers of the Earth, the Spheres of the Earth, and how they all interact.

We are more than half way through our 100 Word to Know List!   Remember that we have 3 word each night to work on – except Friday!  We are working to grow our knowledge of vocabulary.

We are wrapping up our Literature read of Journey To the Center of the Earth!

Math contiues with tough concepts of fractions, integers and irrational numbers.

Religion continues with their Bibles and the Marks of the Church.  Our beliefs and the creeds are populat topics of discussion.

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE A BOOK OF THEIR CHOICE TO READ AT SCHOOL – we will have times when they will need to read silently.  We hope to start going to the library next week.  We plan to go on Fridays.

IReady continues to be an important part of our day!  We do work on it each day in an effort to increase of academic skills.

IXL has also been introduced.  Students have access to practice on this website for Math and Language Arts.
