Preschool 3-January 26, 2024

It’s hard to believe we started the second semester of school!  We are half-way through our school year.  So much learning and fun have taken place and yet there is still so much more ahead for us.  During the second semester we will begin to practice writing our names, count to 20, identify numbers through 10, learn to recognize and name letters of the second half of the alphabet, study community workers and much more.  Another preschool kiddo turned four this week.  Happy Birthday to Michael and thank you to him and his family for the delicious cupcakes.  What a great way to start our week.  We thanked God for our hearing this week and talked all about the sounds we like and dislike.  We use our hearing every day to learn our letter sounds and this week was all about the “Mm” sound.  Our moose creations are hanging on our learning line.  Our week ended with a visit to the Library with our Buddies and an M&M counting activity to practice our numbers and our letter of the week at the same time.  We hope you’ll stop by and see them on Sunday, along with all of our other projects!

Valentine’s Day Party…
We will be celebrating on Monday, February 12.  Since Ash Wednesday and Valentine’s Day both fall on the same day this year, it will be difficult to focus on both.  Our class representative, Mrs. D’Angelo will be setting up our party though Sign Up Genius just as she did for the Christmas party.  Any help or donations are greatly appreciated.  If you would like to sign up as a volunteer to attend, please remember that you must be fully Virtus trained.  Each child will be asked to bring Valentine cards (20 children)to distribute at the party.  Please include only your child’s name on the cards and leave the “to” portion blank so that they can easily be passed out.  Treats are optional.
