Our week was rainbow colored! We focused on the letter “Rr” and created rabbits to decorate our learning line. It’s beginning to look a lot like Easter in Preschool. Rags, the dog, was ripping his rug making lots of “Rr” sounds in Jolly Phonics. We read books about rainbows and painted our hands rainbow colors. Rainbow messes were lots of fun! We revisited shapes with our Buddies by creating a rainbow square project. We even learned a song to help us remember the colors of the rainbow. Our new calendar pattern is helping us to master our shapes. It features shamrocks, for March, and rectangles and triangles. During our Math centers, we counted rainbows on our ten frames. We ended our week thanking God for our sense of smell! We are almost finished with our five senses unit. Next week will be all about St. Patrick’s Day, the letter “Ss” and Dr. Seuss.

*Please be sure that you have signed up for a parent-teacher conference next Thursday, March 14th. Check your email if you haven’t done so already. If you have any questions, please contact me or the office. A second trimester conference is required. Your child will receive a report card on this day.
*Easter Egg Hunt…Please send a bag of individual candy to fill our eggs for the hunt. Please do not send bags with open candy such as jelly beans. We will try to hunt for our eggs on Monday, March 25th and a rain date of Wednesday, March 27. Please send the candy with your child by Friday, March 22 so that I can fill all the eggs over the weekend. Feel free to send your candy early! I will provide the baskets and the grass. Thank you for your generosity:)
