Preschool 3-October 13, 2023

PUMPKINS WERE EVERYWHERE THIS WEEK!  We learned how pumpkins grow and read lots of books about pumpkins, even a square pumpkin named Spookley:)  This square pumpkin taught us the lesson that we are all different and each of us have unique gifts to offer that God has given us.  In this story, Spookley saved the day by being different!  In our ECLIP class, we learned Halloween vocabulary and made pumpkins(calabaza).  Our ten frame this week was filled with gourds and mini pumpkins.  It was fun to explore the differences between these fruits using our senses.  Our focus letter this week was Dd and our dinosaur craftivity is displayed on our learning line.  Each week, as we add a letter, we continue to listen and review our previous Jolly Phonics songs, as well as using our alphabet cards to explore all 26 letters each day. We ended our week by reading with our Buddies in the Library.   Next week we will continue to learn about pumpkins, spiders and begin our focus on the letter Ee.

Reminders…
*Please try to  practice putting on, and zipping coats at home.  We try to encourage the kids to dress independently before assisting them.  Below is a video that is helpful in teaching kids to put on coats.
