Preschool 3-October 20, 2023

The Preschool Kiddos have been very busy with lots of Fall and Halloween activities.  We are continuing to learn all about pumpkins, spiders and the changes in the Fall weather.  Lots of counting, sorting and numeral recognition is happening this month.  We have been counting and sorting gourds, leaves and pumpkins.  Please practice counting to 20 at home.  The car is the best place to count:)  Our letter focus was Ee and our craftivity was a cute, gray elephant.  We were cracking eggs during Jolly Phonics.  On Wednesday, the FSA hosted a Weather Assembly!  Check out the cool experiment in the photos above.  How fun it was as the fog rolled out and over our class!  Our Buddies took us to Church to visit our seating spot and go over some great behaviors for next week.  They will be great role models on the days we attend Church.  After our visit, we took a nice walk and played together, making a gloomy day much brighter!  They also stopped by to paint our hands orange in preparation for our October jack-o-lanterns. We are getting very excited about our upcoming party!  A letter regarding the party went home this week.  If you have any questions, please reach out!  Next week, we will take time to review the letters Aa-Ee, enjoy some spooktacular Halloween math and literacy centers, attend 8:00 mass for the the first time, participate in a presentation about fire safety and decorate our classroom for Halloween.  Last, next week is Red Ribbon week and the Student Council has an activity planned each day(details are below).

Reminders…
*Please be sure to dress for the weather.  We will still continue to go out each day.  Might be time for hats and mittens      soon:)
*Lots of us are now starting to put our coats on and zip on our own.  Please continue to practice this at home.  We always tell the kids to try first and then ask for help.
