Preschool 3-September 1, 2023

Happy September to all the Preschool Families!  Our first full week of school was a huge success.  We continued to practice routines we learned and began to learn new ones.  Building our independence was the focus of our week and what a great job all of the Preschool Kiddos did.  We decorated our first day or school photos and they are proudly displayed in our hall.  Those will be coming home in the upcoming weeks.  We played outdoors and in the gym with our friends from across the hall, went on our first walk around the campus, introduced new morning table activities, enjoyed many stories about the beginning of the school year and learned the names of our classmates.  It is really special to see all of the friendships being formed in only 8 days together.
Next week we will start our journey through the alphabet and practice finding our names in the pocket chart.  We will go to our first Art special and Mr. Ochoa will be bringing a robot to our TLC special class.  Our first birthday will be celebrated!!! There is so much to look forward to in September.
The following week we will start the ECLIP program with Mrs. Sanchez.  Below is information from Mr. Porod regarding this class.

We are happy to announce that St.Cletus School has been selected to enrich their Spanish Language Class from thirty minutes per week, to a half hour each day of the week.  Mrs. Sonia Sanchez, St. Cletus Parent, has accepted the opportunity to work with the students along with Mrs. Mullen and Mrs. Fary.  This research based program is being offered through the support and guidance of the University of Notre Dame and the Archdiocese of Chicago. This wonderful collaborative opportunity for our students will be slowly phased in over the next several weeks.

Please keep the students and staff in your prayers as they continue to pick up new skills each and  every day.  Please do not hesitate to call Mrs. Mullen, Mrs. Sanchez or Mr. Porod if you have any questions.
