Half Day News 2.25.22

It continues to be busy in Half Day Prek!  We had fun with the letter V and painting Volcanoes!    We are exploring plants as we Thank God for the plants and the trees, the sun and the water.

We are working with writing our numbers and our names.  We continue to work on counting – we are loving counting by 5’s and well as ones! ( Today being the 25th of February was awesome for counting!)  We even counted by 2’s and are learning about odd and even numbers. ( 2-22-22 was fun)

We love to go to the library on Mondays, but loved to go with our buddies this week on Friday!   We love our buddies!   We can’t wait for the weather to get better so we can be outside again, but library time is a good second activity!

We have new seats in our classroom and students are getting to know each other at different seating.   We are working to express ourselves in our Center groups and be good listeners to our friends when they talk.

Next week will prove nothing less than busy again!   We will focus on the letter W, focus on the beautiful gifts God has given, sorting, and seeing how plants get food.  We will read Dr. Seuss books as we explore some of those great rhyming stories.

Tuesday will be a little “Fat Tuesday” Celebration before we begin our Lenten Celebration on Wednesday, March 2nd.   We will attend Ash Wednesday Mass at 9:30 and will receive Ashes.   I am so proud of how the students behave in church!   They are true gifts from God!  We will explore ways to show (more) kindness during Lent.

Thank you for sharing these beautiful children!   It is wonderful to see them grow and learn.   I look forward to Parent Teacher Conferences being in person on March 10th.  Watch for information in your email to sign up.

It’s a GREAT Day to be a Cardinal!  (especially in Half Day prek!)
