Half Day News November 19, 2021

This week was filled with being thankful and preparing for our program in December!  We have been working hard to remember songs and stay focused on our singing.

We enjoyed working with an alphabet train to reinforce the letters we are learning.  This is a good way to help your child with letters and letter sounds.  We worked on sentences to reinforce the recognition of sight words.  We worked on opposite puzzles too.  The sense of smell will continue into next week and we will also continue with the letter Ll.

We will go to 8am Mass on Tuesday and will also go to the 9:30am Thanksgiving Prayer Service.   We are asking each student to bring in any one canned good for the prayer service.

Our class food drive is going so well.  We love walking to the Food Pantry drop each Friday with our 5th grade buddies and then enjoying some time outside with them.  We will continue during the week on November 29th with the collection of peanut butter!  Thank you all for your support in our service project.

We look forward to the start of the Advent Season on November 28th and will also start the letter Mm on November 29th.

Remember to hold December 21st open on your calendar.  We are asking all students in prek to dress in their nice Christmas clothes for our 9:30am program.   On that day, the half day students are welcome to stay until their regular end time of 10:45am or they can leave with parents after the 9:30 program.

I am so thankful to share in this prek experience with your child.   I am so thankful to be part of such a wonderful caring staff at St. Cletus School.  Thank you for sharing your child with me!

It IS a Great and Thankful day to be a Cardinal! (especially in half day prek!)
