Half Day Preschool October 30

Half Day had a wonderful week !  We enjoyed  using our different senses, even though our focus was on hearing.  We thanked God for all the things we see, hear, taste, smell and touch!  This included our tambourines,  scooping out the insides of our pumpkins and tasting caramel apples ( well, most of them tasted 🙂 ).

We celebrated Red Ribbon week and talked about ways to keep our body healthy.  Pajama’s were so cozy and we had a good show of support for the Bears on Jersey Day!

We worked with our 5th grade buddies to make craft pumpkins!  We love to be with our buddies!

You can see by our photos, this week, that Halloween fun was had!  Thank you to Sofia for the goodie bags, Franklin for the suckers, Isaac for the goodie bags and Mrs. Schaefer and Mrs. Fary for the pumpkin bucket worth of goodies.  We even had a goodie bag to celebrate Lulu’s birthday! What a fun week for lots of treats!

Next week begins November and we will focus on “Thanksgiving and giving thanks”  We will kick off a 6 week collection of items for the St. Cletus Food Pantry.  Each week we will focus on a different item to donate.  I am asking each student to bring in one item a week.  Items can be sent in any time during the week and we will walk them to the food pantry drop box on Friday.

For our first week of donations : November 1st – 5th we will be collecting jelly!

We will focus on the letter J next week ( hence the collection of jelly!)  The sense of touch, the color white and number recognition and pairing.

Monday we will attend the 9:30 All Saints Mass with our 5th grade buddies.   We will NOT be going to Mass on Tuesday morning this week.

Wednesday and Thursday this will we have a “bring your favorite stuffy to school”  Whether its a stuffed animal or a stuffed smiley face, as long as your child can carry it, they can bring it!

Save the date for December  21st the Preschool Christmas sing!

We will host virtual Parent Teacher conferences on November 23rd!  Watch for details!

It Is Always a GREAT Day to be a Cardinal!  (Especially in half day!)
