This week…our class was one of three classrooms selected for demonstrating Positive Behavior In School. Being Responsible, Being Respectful, and Being compassionate. Way to go Full Day Preschoolers! We will have the privilege of displaying the banner outside our classroom for a month. We had a visit from St. Nick and his elves – they showered us with treats. Students that attend Aftercare helped to decorate the school’s Christmas Tree – they did a great job! In class we have been learning about animal’s survival during the winter. Our word for the week was “adapt” (adaptation). We talked about how we adapt to the changing weather, and we started talking about how different animals adapt to the changing weather. The children have been working on various Christmas decorations.
Looking forward to next week…we will continue our discussion about animal’s survival in the winter as we talk about hibernation and migration. We will be making our very own bird feeders to help animals find food in the winter. We are keeping our focus on this season of Advent.
