Mrs. Penny Davis

Science & Religion (7-8)

Mrs. Davis will be instructing students in religion (7th grade only) and science (6th, 7th, and 8th grades) this school year. She will also provide data-driven support, training, and analysis throughout the school community to support iReady goals and initiatives.

Mrs. Davis has worked in Catholic school education for fifteen years. This will be her third year as part of the St. Cletus community. Prior to joining St. Cletus, she worked at St. Joseph Catholic School and Parish until its closing. During her time at St. Joseph, she provided classroom and eLearning instruction, developed web-based applications, and trained staff and parents on various software applications. She also served as Director of Religious Education and prepared children and adults for the Sacraments.

Mrs. Davis earned her M.A. from Lewis University and her B.A. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her endorsements include special education and English as a second language. Additionally, she is a licensed teacher evaluator.

As a results-oriented educator, Mrs. Davis’s goal in Catholic education is to invite students “to develop an understanding of Jesus’ life” and “to develop a personal relationship with God,” while supporting the overall educational and spiritual goals and mission of St. Cletus School and Parish.

In her free time, Mrs. Davis enjoys spending time with her family, reading, playing board games, and cheering for the “Illini” and the “Saints.”
