Ms. Pretzie graduated from Elmhurst University in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and earned her Illinois teaching license that same summer. For the past two years, she has taught fourth grade in a neighboring district, and she is excited to begin her first year teaching fifth grade.

Her educational journey has been shaped by a combination of traditional classroom learning and hands-on experience in diverse settings. One particularly meaningful experience came last year when she organized a peer tutoring group to support students struggling in math. This initiative not only helped her students but also deepened her own understanding as an educator.
