Happy Friday Families!
Here is what we did in Pre-K 3/4 this week!
Looking back…
- We focused on learning about apples and our names!
- We learned about the letters P and N, as well as numbers 1-10.
- We learned that God gave us two hands to pray! We have also begun to practice the sign of the cross!
- We continued to verbally blend and segment compound words. (Blending fire – place turns into fire place. Segmenting fireplace turns into fire-place.)

Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
- What are the different parts of an apple? (skin, stem, seeds)
- What colored apples can we buy at the store? (red, green, yellow)
- What sound does p make? What sound does n make? (p says /p/, n says /n/)
- What did God give us? (2 hands to pray.) Practice the sign of the cross at home.
- Can you count to 10 and show me on your fingers? You can also have them count sets of objects for you and tell you how many.
- Continue to practice putting the letters of their name in order at home. If your child has mastered this begin to practice forming the first letter in their name correctly.
Have a great weekend!
