Pre-K 3 Newsletter November 6

Happy Thursday Families!

Here is what we did in Pre-K 3 this week!

Looking back…

*This week our theme was Voting and Elections!

*We learned about making choices and having our voices heard through a fun mock election — the big question was: Goldfish or Applesauce? After everyone cast their votes at our classroom polling place, the results were in… Applesauce won! We celebrated with applesauce for snack on Wednesday!

*At the Dramatic Play Center, we turned it into a real polling station where students could practice voting and “checking in.”

*In the Math Center, we used counting cubes with election-themed pictures to practice making/following patterns.

*Our letter of the week was H, so at the Sensory Bin students searched for tiny letter H erasers and placed them in a cup

It was a fun week full of learning about letters, numbers, and how every vote counts!

Looking Ahead…
With winter weather ahead, please make sure you are practicing with your child on how to put on their winter clothing! That means–hats, mittens, BOOTS! If you do send your child in boots, we ask that you please include a bag for their boots to go in during the day!
Conferences are coming! If you are unable to make a conference on November 25- please reach out to me! We ask that no children are present at the conference so we can speak freely :). I cannot wait to tell you all of the great things your child is doing in Preschool!
.
Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
* What did you pretend to be in the trick-or-treat dramatic play area?
*What letter craft did you make this week? (H for House)
*What is Mr. Pumpkin looking like now? (White & fuzzy!)
*What was your favorite center this week?
Have an amazing weekend,
