Pre-K 3 Newsletter March 20

Happy Friday Families!

This week, we had so much fun celebrating St. Patrick’s Day while learning through hands-on activities!

Here’s what we’ve been up to:

  • 🌈 Sorted gold letter coins and matched them to the correct squares on our letter carpet

  • 🔢 Used counting cubes to create and build St. Patrick’s Day themed pictures

  • 💰 Discovered hidden “treasure” in our sensory bin—such a fun surprise!

  • ✏️ Practiced recognizing and working with our letter of the week: V

  • 🌋 Created a volcano craft to go along with our letter V learning

  • 🎨 Practiced rainbow order by making colorful dot art rainbows

We loved combining learning with a little St. Patrick’s Day magic this week!

Looking Ahead…
*The book fair is BACK! Our class will visit the book fair on Tuesday/Wednesday during class. If you would like to stop by after school with your child, it is open until 4PM Tues-Thurs! Use this link to preview the fair and set up an e-wallet for your child (we ask that you print off how much money they have to make it easier on us!). We only allow the children to buy BOOKS during our classroom time, there are many toys/trinkets at the book fair but those will have to be bought with the family! If you would like to donate to our classroom library, here is a link to our class e-wallet and wishlist!
IF YOU WISH FOR YOUR CHILD TO BUY BOOKS, PLEASE EMAIL ME. If I do not get an email from you I will assume they cannot buy books at the book fair!

*We are hosting a class Easter Egg hunt on Wednesday, April 1. We ask that each child brings in 6 standard size filled plastic eggs by Monday, March 30. Please let me know if you don’t think this is feasible and Mrs. Ryan & I will happily supply the eggs for your child.

Some ideas of what the eggs can be stuffed with:
*candy
*erasers
*tattoos
*stickers
*mini figurines
*stamps
*bracelets
*squishies
*fruit snacks
*If you’re interested in buying a yearbook, you can purchase the 2025-2026 school yearbook by May 1, 2026! The cost is $26.79 for a softcover and $33.37 for a hardcover (plus tax). Here is the link.

Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About…
Below are some suggestions to engage your child in a conversation about what they did at school!
  • The treasure they found in the sensory bin (marbles (rubies) rainbows, clouds, emeralds)

  • What sound does a V make?

  • The colors of the rainbow in order 🌈

Have an amazing weekend,
