Hello Cardinal Families,
It has been a wild time of reading these past few weeks, and the upcoming ones leading to Christmas! In 8th grade Lit, we just finished “And Then There Were None,” by Agatha Christie. We have been determining foreshadowing and clues within the murder mystery. The test will be next Wednesday, and we will jump right into “Animal Farm,” hoping to be done before Christmas. In 7th grade Lit, we are wrapping up Louis Sachar’s “Holes,” another kind of mystery, in which the students are very invested in all the clues given throughout. In 7th grade Social Studies, we have begun learning of what has led to the American Revolution, analyzing the Intolerable Acts and “Common Sense” by Thomas Paine.
The trimester ends on November 19th, and Parent Teacher Conferences take place on Tuesday, November 26th. Please make sure you sign up if you haven’t already.
It’s a great day to be a Cardinal!
