This week… we welcome the season of Advent and prepare our hearts for the coming of Jesus. The students are learning about the Church’s liturgical calendar, Advent as the beginning of the year, and the colors and symbols associated with the various seasons. As we are in the midst of cold and flu season, in science we have been discussing the spread of germs, and conducted a lab to simulate the spread of germs. For our lab, glitter was applied to the students hands and they engaged in various activities to observe the transfer and spread of the glitter.
Looking forward…to get in the season of Advent, we will bless our Advent wreath on Monday. On Monday, we will attend The Nutcracker – ballet, and on Tuesday the children will shop at the Holiday Shop.
