This week…It is hard to believe that we have been in school for almost two weeks. Last week, we spent most of our time getting to know one another, learning our daily routines, and learning how to make our classroom a safe space. The children learned to make paper airplanes in preparation for our science and math lessons. They made predictions, observations, and recorded data. They had so much fun learning. Although the weather forced us to have recess inside, they enjoyed exploring the new classroom games and activities. They have all enjoyed the class reading/relaxation space.
This week we learned about different types of scientist and the importance of testing and experimenting. In religion we discussed taking a spiritual journey with Jesus. In math, we learned about different types of data tables to record information.
Looking forward to next week…The students will be taking IReady reading and math assessments.
Please have a safe and fun long weekend. Please come out and fellowship with the St. Cletus family next weekend for the Fall Fest.
God Bless,
Mrs. Davis
