Religion:  As a class we will talk about the ways Jesus’ followers shared the good news of Jesus with others.  The students will work with a partner to create a chain to share the good work of Jesus.  These chains will be in the hallway to let the other members of our school know about Jesus’ good deeds.

Reading:  We will continue reading the short story “Athbascans” and answer questions centered around the story.

Spelling:  Our spelling words this week contain commonly misspelled words.  Our spelling test will be on Friday February 4th.  Spelling homework will be on Monday and Tuesday nights.

Phonics:  The students will practice making contractions out of two smaller words.  They will also review adding -s and -es to words to make them plural.

Math:  During Math class this week we will be working with: Algebra to find the unknown (Missing factor) numbers in multiplication problems, The Distributive Property of Multiplication to solve problems and finally the multiples of 10.

Science:  The students did and AMAZING job on their Technology projects and their presentations of them.  Thank you for helping your child complete these projects at home.  I hope you had the chance to look at them when you visited the school during open house.  Projects will be coming home this Friday.  Please send in a large garbage bag to that the posters can be easily carried by your child.   This week we will continue to learn more about the design process and improvements in technology.
