Happy Friday!
We have been learning lots and having a blast! We had a PBIS assembly where students competed in a rock paper scissors competition! Our very own Logan won the school wide competition! Also, The students were able to show off their science fair projects to some younger grades! It was great hearing them explain their projects to everyone.
Math- We have be diving deep into finding the area of triangles and special quadrilaterals. Students are having a great time learning about all the different formulas they need to solve these problems!
Social Studies- Learning about Ancient Egypt has been a great time! The students really seem to enjoy learning all about this civilization. Students were each assigned two vocabulary words to help build a pyramid. Students were tasked to create a “pyramid block” explaining and drawing their vocabulary word. I was truly blown away with the students work! They did a great job helping to build our pyramid.
ELA- We are working on our sentence structures. Students have built on sentence fragments and spotting them in writing. They are working to correct any run-on sentences they could find. Student’s have been put into book club groups. Each group has a different book. The students received a packet that they need to fill out along with their readings EACH WEEK. They will meet with their book club weekly.
I-Ready- We finished I-Ready testing! We are jumping back into our daily I-ready time. The students are working hard and still finishing up filling in their tree! I am certain they will fill it by the end of this week!
