7th Grade Welcome!!

Hello families–

This week has been exciting, fun, and a bit exhausting :). The students have learned their schedule. The students have been getting acquainted with the policies and procedures in each of their classes and lunch. The students have attended their specials classes. The students have been having fun back together as a class.

We’ve been quite busy this week in math adding positive and negative integers! We have also exposed the students to over 45 different math problems through our Simple Solutions daily program. Eventually, the students will take a quiz on Simple Solutions so it is imperative that they at least write down solutions in class right now. As we move forward they will begin to understand more because the questions are concept repetitive. Next week we will be taking the first math I-ready diagnostic. Stay tuned for more information!

In religion, we began exploring the four main faith mission statements – 1) forming, 2) building, and 3) redefining a covenant that is 4) fulfilled in Jesus. Next week we begin talking about praying the rosary. If anyone wants to bring in a rosary to pray with at class, please feel free (I would not recommend something irreplacable though). I will have some plastic rosaries available as well as a visual on the Smartboard.
